First ever entry.

Well, I've done it. I went to blogger.com and setup an account. I chose them because they were under "Google Tools" and I didn't feel like researching the different options. I know, what self respecting so-called software developer would use a template blog system? Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about backups and what not.

The real question is: do I have enough interesting things to say that make it worth the effort to keep blogging? And perhaps more importantly, will anyone read it?

This initial post is definitely going to be filled with more questions than answers. Call it a blog teaser.

I'll probably use this more like a personal journal for recording my thoughts and significant life events. After all, Jen and I do have a child on the way in the very near future. The cleverly named "TaborTot" (Thanks to Cammy Huston for coining the name). As we do not know the sex yet, we opt for nicknames like "The Pumpkin" and "TaborTot" over just saying "it", or "the baby". Seems a little too impersonal.

Pictures of the TaborTot are sure to arise here in the upcoming months.

Anyone who knows me well will probably not be surprised to find a few political rantings to arise from time to time as well. Hopefully I won't anger any bleeding heart lib friends of mine (Are either of them libs?).

Alright, enough for the first entry. Here are the questions on the table:
1) Do I have anything interesting to say?
2) Will I ever login to write another entry? (Check back soon)
3) Will anyone read it?
4) Who will be the first commenter ever?
5) Are any of my friends liberals? (man, I hope not)

Any thoughts?

First commenter ever!

To answer the third question in your list:

If Luke can get people to read his, there's no reason you can't do the same.

Dana, the due date is October 21st, we don't have long now!

How, do I define a liberal....hmm. 1) You feel the government is ultimately responsible for your well being. 2) You feel like you are entitiled to other people's money if they make more than you. 3) You are so impressed with government workers at the dmv, social security office, and IRS that you want underpaid doctors too with government healthcare like Canada.

4) If you're a white middle/upper-class male, you have no first amendment rights. 5) You'd like it so that people who break the law can have guns, and people who abide by the law can't.
