Bummed

I woke up this morning and as I've done thousands of times before, I started the walk over to the bathroom for a shower. For some reason, this morning, on the way, my left foot snagged on the bottom of my flanel pants. When it broke free in mid stride, I ended up kicking the dresser about as hard as I can imagine kicking a dresser, accidentally or otherwise.

All day my middle toe was hurting a little, I just thought it was sore. But when I took my socks off tonight, it appears very bruised. I'm pretty sure it's broken. Normally, this would not be that big of a deal, but I have been running to train for the Turkey Trot. I don't think I'm going to be able to run at all for at least a few days, maybe a week.

Hopefully I'll be able to use the elliptical machine at the YMCA instead. But I haven't tried yet. You never fully appreciate how much your toes do until they are throbbing.

At any rate, I'll have to play the Turkey Trot by ear.

Annelise is doing great. I love the times when she is alert and awake, but not crying. I really look forward to when these times are more frequent and when we can actually interact with her.

Here is a cute pic of her Halloween Costume. The missing left hand is not intended to make the costume scary. Her arm is just pulled into the sleeve.

"The Foos Fighters" (Langdon and I) have done very well against "Pity the Foos" (Jason and Chris) at foosball lately. So much so that we are considering a new rule, or a switch where Langdon plays offense and I play defense in order to level the playing field a bit.

Work has returned to a normal pace now as well, which is nice. We have been working pretty much strait 8 hour days. Also, I have been making a conscious effort to get to bed earlier. Thanks for reading....
